Who the heck is this Mama Taney???
Mama Taney is a Southern gal from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Having been blessed enough to have grown up in the kitchens and at the feet of good cooks, she is now happily passing the legacy of eating real food and cooking from scratch and with love onto her family and anyone else who can be coaxed into the kitchen to sit and visit for a spell.
A fair warning to ya'll though: while I may be a foodie & a beer snob, I'm certainly not the pretentious type ... most times when I'm in my kitchen cooking I am barefoot and listening to some good music! I like to cook with alcohol and, as the saying goes, sometimes I even put it in the food!
